Things to Know When Planning a Country-Themed Wedding

Planning a wedding can be a very stressful process, however, if you plan ahead and if you know what you want then it can make the process easier.

Type of Wedding

Before you can decide on the location or the theme you first need to decide on the type of wedding that you want to have. For example, if it is a country themed wedding that you want then you can start looking for Melbourne rustic wedding venues. Therefore in order to move on to the next steps you first need to know what kind of wedding you want. You also need to decide on whether you want a big wedding or a small gathering. Especially when you are looking for a wedding venue it is important that you have an idea of how big you want your wedding to be.

The Decorations

If it is a rustic wedding that you want to have then the decorations should be in line with the theme. It is important that you stick to the theme because if not the theme could be lost. When decorating it is best that you stick to the necessities. One of the ideas behind a rustic themed wedding is the simplicity therefore it is important that you do not go overboard as this could take away from the idea.

The Location

If it is a country themed wedding that you want then it will be best to not have the wedding in a hotel as this could take away from the theme. If you  want your wedding to have a rustic feel to it then it would be best to have the wedding outdoors or even in a barn. Having the wedding outdoors will be beneficial to you as the trees and the grass will aid in giving your wedding the country look that you want.

The Colours

The colours you select for a country themed wedding will play a big role in adding to the look. For example, you cannot have bright colours such as bright blue or yellow. Instead you need to have more subtle colours such as brown or a cream colour. It would be best to pick a colour or two for the theme and then stick with this colour throughout the wedding. For example, if it is brown that you select then you should do the invitations, the decorations and so one can all have a touch of brown to it.

The Dress Code

The dress code for a country wedding will also be more laid back instead of being formal. However, if you want a formal attire this is not unusual. It is possible to have the best of both worlds and so if you want your guest to be wearing formal attire or if you want your guest to be dressed down then you should make sure that you mention the dress code on the invitation. For example, you can either say smart casual or formal wear as that way your guest will be aware of what to wear.
